Mission: TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people lose weight and keep it off. We do not recommend any particular diet.
Services: Headquarters, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, publishes a monthly newsmagazine for all members filled with information on health and nutrition, contests, incentives and recognition events. Each weekly meeting consists of weigh-in, business meeting and a program. Programs deal with topics such as exercise, food exchanges, nutrition, cholesterol, fats in your diet, fiber, stress and how it affects your eating habits, and other subjects. We offer group support and encouragement. We are not a diet club; we are a way of life. Meetings are located throughout Cayuga County - Auburn, Union Springs, Weedsport, Moravia, Genoa and Cato.

Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church with a message based on the Bible and a ministry motivated by the love of God. ŬIts mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Services:
Miracle Kitchen - Anyone is welcome. A full, nutritious meal is served Sundays from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Volunteers are always welcome to assist with the serving and preparation of the meals.
Food Pantry - Food provided for three days (3 meals per day) for each person in the family. Pantry is open 1:00pm to 3:30pm Monday - Friday.
The Plug (Teen Outreach Center) - Provides a safe place for teens in grades 6 - 12 to gather for recreation, instruction, homework assistance, and life-skills training. Call for hours of operation.
Golden Agers Club - Provides social interaction for those age 50 and over. Thursday Meal ($3.00 donation suggested); Day Trips; Educational Programs; Singing; Craft Class. Thursdays 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Seasonal Needs - Help to meet basic needs, such as food, clothing, lodging, as well as seasonal (Thanksgiving and Christmas) assistance.
Disaster Needs - Available to respond to disasters, providing relief to workers and victims.

Mission: Annual fun-food-fundraising event held each year the 2nd weekend in September at Emerson Park Owasco Lake, Auburn. Services: TomatoFest of Central NY creates a positive family event for the community. It provides the opportunity for other not-for-profits to raise funds and awareness for themselves and assists area food agencies by contributing a portion of proceeds to food pantries of Cayuga County each year. The annual event boasts 2 days of continuous entertainment on three stages, food, crafts, farmerıs market, childrenıs activities, kiddy rides and much more.

Mission: The Transportation Project for Cayuga County provides specialized transportation for the elderly (60+) and disabled of Cayuga County through the operation of the SCAT (Senior Citizen Aid to Transportation) vans. The service is available to those elderly and handicapped persons who do not have access to, or cannot access public transportation. The service will transport any eligible person to any needed destination such as medical appointments, physical therapy, dental, shopping, nutrition and work sites, or simply to visit a friend.
Services:
Nine vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts and are available throughout the county. Door-to-Door service is provided. Persons requiring assistance from their homes or to their destination must provide their own escort. The SCAT vans operate on a modified demand-response basis (first come, first serve). Suggested fees are $2.00 in Auburn and $3.00 in the county. Group trips available during evenings and weekends.
CAM (Cayuga Medical) Van Service is available to persons who need transportation to Syracuse for medical appointments. Under age 60, there is a $22.00 fee and for those over 60, there is a suggested donation of $12.00. Reservations require a weekıs notice.
Reservations: Reservations may be made by calling the nearest office five working days in advance. Calls should be made between 9:00 am - 12:00 noon, Monday - Friday.
Volunteer Opportunities: SCAT Van drivers and escorts.

Referral: All community agencies, friends, relatives, and self-referrals.
Support: Cayuga County Office for the Aging, United Way, Cayuga County townships and villages, City of Auburn and donations.

Mission: Tyburn Academy is a small, private high school grade 9 -12. Our aim is to provide quality education, resulting in the development of the whole person, intellectually, spiritually, morally, and physically. Tyburn strives for excellence in learning to prepare students for higher education and for living their faith.
Services: Tyburn Academy is endorsed by the New York State Board of Regents. Besides a regular high school curriculum we also require two years of Latin and four years of Theology, adhering to the teaching of the Gospel. We offer an expanding sports program. Each student has a requirement of 20 hours of community service per year. Required entrance exams are held the first Saturday of each month from February through May or as requested. Mission: Unity House of Cayuga County Inc., headquartered in Auburn, NY, provides services within Cayuga, Tompkins, Onondaga, Monroe, Wayne, Yates, Seneca and Ontario counties. Unity House works in partnership with individuals to enhance their quality of life through personalized goal and skill development. This is accomplished by providing choices for and facilitating access to a wide range of supports including, but not limited to, residential, employment and educational services for individuals with a mental health diagnosis, the developmentally disabled seeking a new beginning while coping with chemical dependency, and those at risk of becoming homeless persons.

Works with individuals to be contributing members of their communities through goal and skill development. We provide support and access to housing, employment and educational resources.

Residential Habilitation - Provides case management and support for individuals in an independent living situation.
Medicaid Service Coordination - Assist people with developmental disabilities in gaining access to necessary services and support to help them live successful lives within the community according to their own needs and desires.

Individuals at G.R.A.C.E. House receive support from peers as they work on their individualized recovery plans.

Serving Cayuga County Unity Employment Services offers people with disabilities or with a history of employment challenges support securing and maintaining jobs. We provide career exploration assistance, job search assistance, job coaching, and performance monitoring.

Green Street House offers transitional and permanent housing for men and women who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Green Street House is a clean, safe haven with 18 private bedrooms and several large, shared living spaces.

Mission: In-patient Chemical Dependency Treatment program for individuals 18 and over.
Services: The Van Dyke ATC is a 30-bed, inpatient, tobacco-free, addiction treatment program serving 14 counties in the Finger Lakes Region. Operated by the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, no one is denied treatment due to inability to pay. The Van Dyke ATC provides two separate gender-specific programs, one for the men and the other for women. ³Tobacco-Free" means that tobacco products and related materials are not allowed on the grounds and that nicotine addiction is treated along with the other addictions.
Referral: Accepted from the community agencies. Contact the Van Dyke ATC Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, and ask for Admissions.
