Mission: The agency provides a referral process for those seeking crisis centers, detoxification and inpatient treatment; assessments and evaluations; and outpatient counseling.
Services:
Edu-Therapy Program - This service is intended to treat those who have experienced problems in their life as a direct result of their alcohol/substance abuse. The program is a minimum of 12-weeks in duration and the goals are to increase awareness of the harmful effect of substance abuse, increased understanding of the disease of chemical dependency/alcoholism, provide less intensive treatment and an introduction to self-help groups (AA/NA). Each client is provided the opportunity to examine their own use of alcohol and/or other substances as it relates to abuse and/or dependency.
Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) - This program is designed for people who need treatment for the disease of chemical dependency & alcoholism and do not require the structure or medical care of an inpatient treatment setting. It is appropriate for those completing an inpatient program with an aftercare referral for intensive outpatient treatment. The intent is to keep people at home if it is supportive and maintain their employment while receiving outpatient treatment that is intensive. It also allows those in treatment to set up a support system in Alcoholics (AA) and/or Narcotics Anonymous (NA). The program has evening and daytime groups. Gender specific groups are also available.
Adolescent Program - These services are designed to meet the emerging treatment needs of adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18 who have been diagnosed as substance abusers or dependent. The services are driven by the scope of the problem and could include a weekly Education Group. The Education Group assists teens in understanding the nature of alcohol and substance abuse/dependency via education and discussion. The goal is to help teens understand the effects of alcohol and/or substance abuse on their lives. The groups last a minimum of 12-weeks. All teens are assigned a primary counselor with whom they receive individual counseling and develop appropriate treatment plans. Parents are also asked to be involved through family sessions. Teens who cannot maintain abstinence after a reasonable time in this program are generally referred to a higher level of care.
Dual Program - This service is designed to meet the needs of individuals with co-existing mental health/substance abuse disorders. The program provides assessment and referral; group and/or individual counseling and continuing care. The psychiatric assessment will be done by the agency¹s psychiatrist who will also medically manage any prescribed medications.
Family Interventions - Help is available for families with members in need of help with addictions. Counselors will assist family members in confronting the addicted person and making an appropriate referral.
Women¹s Program - Designed to address the specific needs of chemically dependent women in the group setting. The topic areas focus on the issues associated with women in recovery within an all-female group. The group also allows those involved to bring their individual needs to the group on an ongoing basis. It is available to all women in treatment at the agency, and for those who seek out such services from the community.
Men¹s Program - Intended to provide a group designed specifically to address the needs of men in recovery. This is an all-male group, which also allows them to bring their issues to the group on an ongoing basis.
