Mission: The Better Business Bureau will be the primary source of marketplace information and commercial and community dispute resolution services within our communities.
Services: Provide reports on business firms that will be helpful to consumers before making a purchase. The BBB system responds to millions of such inquires each year. The system also provides information about charity groups and organizations; helps resolve consumers¹ disputes with businesses through conciliation, mediation and arbitration; and promotes ethical business standards and voluntary self-regulation of business practices.

Mission: Provide unsubsidized Senior Housing.
Services: The senior retirement community features congregate apartment, duplex, and cottages located in a country setting. The congregate building includes 44 spacious one- and two- bedroom apartments designed to simplify day-to-day living. The residence features a variety of common areas, including a multi-purpose activity room, a parlor, main dining room, living room, laundry rooms, and guestrooms. This is in addition to an apartment with full-size kitchen, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, ample closet space, wall-to-wall carpeting, shower with seat, etc. Bluefield Manor provides a secure, safe, and clean environment; emergency response system; morning well-being checks; one nutritionally balanced meal per day; weekly laundering of bed linens and towels; apartment cleaning every other week; social, educational, and recreational activities; all utilities except telephone; scheduled local transportation; cable television; trash & snow removal; lawn care; management services; mail delivery to resident mailboxes; maintenance of the apartment and provided appliances; paid real estate taxes and more. Additional services include additional meals; additional cleaning services; clerical assistance; personal laundry; guest lodging and meals; garage; and additional storage (based on availability).

Mission: Offer comprehensive youth development services and programs to help children develop interpersonal and communication skills, nonviolent problem solving techniques, teamwork, creativity, self-esteem, and cultural awareness. For three-quarters of a century, BTW has remained committed to helping children become strong, competent and confident adults.
Services:
AWESUM Youth Programs (After school-Weekend & Summer) - 2:30 - 5:30pm weekdays (September to June), for children ages 5-12. Funded and supported by the United Way of Cayuga County, the Cayuga County Youth Bureau, and the City of Auburn. This program provides a safe and supervised place for young children during the after-school hours. Activities include a half hour of homework help, dance and exercise programs, arts and crafts, daily snack, field trips, sports and guest speakers.
Explorers - 2:30-5:30pm, Monday-Friday (September to June) for children ages 5-8. Activities include homework help, dance and exercise programs, arts & crafts, daily snack, field trips, sports, and guest speakers.
Tweens - 2:30-5:30pm Monday-Friday (September to June) for children ages 9-12. Activities include homework help, arts & crafts, cooking classes, daily snack, field trips, sports, and guest speakers.
Teen Center - 6:00 - 9:00pm, Monday - Thursday (year round) for teens ages 13-18. The teen center functions as a drop-in program. Teens may participate in sports, game room activities, cooking classes, arts & crafts projects, and job readiness sessions. Educational support is also provided. An enhanced computer lab is available for educational or recreational purposes.
SIMUKAI - Offered October through June, SIMUKAI is a rites of passage/debutante program open to females age 9-19. SIMUKAI participants are given assistance with schoolwork, educational sessions on health-related issues, career guidance, field trips, and mentoring opportunities. Participants are required to complete ten hours of community service.
Step It Up! Step Team - For youth 9-19. Group meets weekly. Participants learn rhythmic steps and drill maneuvers. The program stresses the ability to focus and stay on task while other activity is going on around you. The group performs its routines as requested for local events.
Double Dutch - For youth 9-19. Double Dutch is a jump rope activity involving at least two turners and one jumper. The double Dutch program meets weekly. Participants do not have to have any skill prior to joining the group.
Abstinence Education Promotion Initiative - 2:30 - 5:30pm, Monday - Thursday (September to June), for children 10 - 15. Funded and supported by the New York State Department of Health, the Reduce Adolescent Pregnancy (RAP) Coalition and the Cayuga County Department of Health and Human Services. This partnership sustains an after-school program at the Moravia Central School. Through a strategy of recreational programming and asset enhancement, this program seeks to reduce the incidence of teen pregnancy.
Access NY Healthcare - Funded by the New York State Department of Health and Cayuga County Department of Health and Human Services. This is a Facilitated Enrollment Outreach program for children and adults under the age of 65 to apply for Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus and Medicaid. Applicants can call BTW for an appointment or visit selected sites throughout Cayuga County to enroll in no cost/low cost Health Insurance.
BTW @ WMS - 2:45 - 5:45pm, weekdays (September to June), for West Middle School (WMS) students. Funded and supported by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, the After-School Corporation and the Auburn Enlarged City School District. This after-school program is designed to improve the social, emotional, and academic competencies of WMS students and reduce risk-taking behavior and violence at the school. The students are given a choice of well-rounded activities in which to participate, including homework help, sports, arts & crafts, computer club, support groups, dance, theater and varied cultural programming.

Donald Grillo - Scout Executive
Mission: Objectives of scouting are character development, citizenship training, and all around fitness (physical, mental & spiritual).
Services: Community organizations utilize the scouting program by sponsoring Cub Packs, Scout Troops, and Learning For Life Groups.
The Tiger Cub Program - A family program introduction to Cub Scouting. Tiger Cubs, BSA is for boys in the 1st grade and an adult partner. The Tiger Cub and adult meet weekly in the home using the ³Big ideas" activities for the group.
Cub Scouting - A developmental home and family centered program for boys in the 2nd through 5th grade, meeting weekly in den groups, and monthly as a Pack.
The Boy Scout Program - For boys ages 11 - 18 with a focus on camping and outdoor programs, developing leadership skills, learning about careers through the Merit Badge Program. Boys meet for weekly Troop meetings and various overnight camping experiences throughout the year.
Learning For Life - A co-ed career/hobby oriented program for 14 - 20 year olds, to explore adult-like roles and career opportunities.
Other Services - A year-round camping facility is maintained at Camp Rotary on the East Side of Owasco Lake with a Scout camping program in the summer. Many inter-unit activities and events are conducted throughout the year. Training opportunities are available to all volunteer Scout Leaders.
Volunteer Opportunities: Summer Camp staff, Pack leaders, Troop leaders, Venture Crew leaders, Explorer Post leaders.

Mission: The Center serves as a focal point whose purpose is to promote the physical and mental well-being of older Cayuga County residents and to encourage their involvement with the community.
Services:
Daily hot dinners - served at noon Monday through Friday and weekends, (Sat. - lunch; Sun. - home deliveries only) (Contributions)
Weekly Programs - knitting, bridge, bingo, crafts, crochet, cards, exercise, entertainment, drawing and painting, writing workshops, discussion group, blood pressure, weight control, nutrition and health, singing.
Monthly - Medical Insurance assistance, legal assistance, pharmacist consultation, Health Education program.
Other Services - Meeting rooms for use by organizations serving seniors. Emerson Park passes issued. Flu shots available in the fall. One-day trips (several times a year). Volunteer opportunities through RSVP, Home Helpers.

Referral: Direct to the Center by Cayuga County residents over 55.
