A Fleming man was charged for threatening someone with a pellet rifle that appeared to be a real gun Thursday. Between Wednesday and Thursday, there were three other unrelated incidents in the county, police said.
Daniel J. Lisano II, 21, of 5805 Dunning Ave., Fleming, was charged with third-degree felony criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment on Thursday, police said.
Lisano was having an argument with a man over Lisano's driving of a vehicle he didn't have permission to drive, police said. The argument became physical and the man backed away to call the police. Police said Lisano then threatened the man with an Airsoft pellet rifle, which appeared to be a regular rifle.
Lisano walked off into the woods after threatening Johnson, police said. After a brief search, Lisano was apprehended by state police, with the Auburn Police Department and Cayuga County Sheriff's Office assisting. Lisano was arraigned in Fleming Town Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
An order of protection was issued for the complainant
In another incident, Jorge L. Sanchez, of 5 Delevan St., Apt. 1, Auburn, was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon Thursday, police said. Sanchez allegedly stabbed the victim in the face with a metal object in the Byrne Dairy parking lot on Arterial East, Auburn, police said. Sanchez is in custody at the county jail. The victim's wound was not life-threatening, police said.
* Ronny J. Gunsalus, 18, of 10278 Aldrich Road, Port Byron, was charged with menacing for threatening to shoot the complainant who reported him to state police, Wednesday, police said. Gunsalus was arraigned at Conquest Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
* James D. Sawyer, 19, of 9 Allis Ave., Moravia, was charged Wednesday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and having a controlled substance in a non-original container, police said. Sawyer is scheduled to appear in Moravia Village Court Dec. 12.
