Propane tank rental too costly

Saturday, November 7, 2009 4:27 PM EST

I think that the propane companies should be ashamed of themselves for charging their customers for yearly tank rental fees.
I had to pay out $150 for my tank.

My 70-year-old mother has a 100-pound tank used for her cooking only and she is being charged $72 yearly. That has just happened to us this year. My mom has Suburban (formerly Agway) and I have E&V.

I find this tank rental fee to be nothing more than stealing from their loyal customers.

I now use electric heat to help offset the high cost of propane. I hope that others do the same and send a message to the propane companies.
