The Jordan-Elbridge boys cross country team won the Liverpool Invitational Class C/D race on Saturday.
Cody Stanton (16:22) took first place in the “A” race.
Mike Marrero (16:37) finished in third and Steve Slonsoky (17:43) came in 21st place.
In the “B” race, Greg Bader (17:42) finished in third place overall, while Mitch Alpha (18:09) came in 14th.
Tom Poppe (18:19) finished in 17th and Derrick Cheney (19:36) rounded out at 50th place.
Head coach Roger Roman said, “I was pleased to see Cody win again after having a couple of off races. I knew he was feeling good from the way he was acting before the race.”
Although the Eagles didn't beat Marcellus in the overall invitational, they beat them on Wednesday for the league title.
The top finishers for the Maroons in the invitational were Pat Lattimore (17:31), Mike Henn (18:38), Justin Middleton (18:49), John Tehan (18:53) and Mike Powinski (18:59).
Auburn runs for the league championship at Central Square on Wednesday.

Moravia, inc
Christian Cobb (18:43) led the Panthers, finishing in ninth place overall.
Next for the Panthers was Mike Borst (20:33) who came in 21st, Zac Leja (21:17) 28th, and Matt Teabo (22:17) in 40th.
Tyler Wellington (22:13) finished in 46th, Rob Johnson (26:00) came in 56th and rounding things out for Port Byron was Ray Cereo (26:09) who came in 57th.
The Panthers run in their league meet at Cato-Meridian High School on Saturday.
For Moravia, Alex Seaman (25:35) finished in 55th place, while Richie Bentley (26:35) came in 58th.
Moravia travels to Whitney Point on Tuesday.

Zach Casper (19:18) finished 43rd, Devan Barta (19:53) 46th and Riley Shurtleff (20:38) came in 48th place.
Ted Alnutt (21:31) took 53rd and Ryan Gill (24:24) finished in 61st place.

Emma Jo Aversa (25:00) led the Panthers finishing in 23rd, while Kate Riley (27:12) took 35th place.

Scoring the only goal for Auburn was Laura Taylor, with Kim Neagle earning the assist.
Aubrey Campbell had 12 saves in net for Auburn.
Playing well at midfield for the Maroons were Nikki Neagle, Jen Fox and Caitlyn Mitchell.
Auburn (6-5-3) hosts Liverpool on Tuesday.

Goalie Cassandra Green saved two shots.
Kayla Vannorstrand had two goals for Cato-Meridian and Brooke Myers added one.
