Recruiters from local trade unions will be on hand Thursday during a labor-related forum at Cayuga Community College, 197 Franklin St.
Union representatives will present information during the forum about their trades, including minimum qualifications, job descriptions and duties, possible careers, the selection process and how to apply. Attendees will also have a chance to talk with each recruiter after the forum.
Some of the unions expected to be present include roofers, electricians, ironworkers, sheet metal workers, carpenters, plumbers and operating engineers.
The event is sponsored by the Cayuga Works Career Center, and it will run from 10 a.m. to noon in the student lounge. Call the career center at 253-1590 for more information.
