Muckdogs top Doubledays in extras
AUBURN - The Auburn Doubledays had plenty of opportunities to beat the Batavia Muckdogs at Falcon Park on Wednesday.
Twenty-one to be exact.
That's how many runners the Doubledays left on base in their 6-4 loss in 11 innings, including two in scoring position in the 10th inning. Auburn left at least one runner stranded in every inning but the second, and the bases were left loaded in three separate innings. Auburn out-hit Batavia 14-10, but had three errors to the Muckdogs' one.
