The body of a 50-year-old man who fell overboard and drowned on Cayuga Lake Sunday was recovered by search crews Tuesday, the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office said.
Dennis M. Jones, of Seneca Falls, was recovered by the Cayuga Fire Department Water Rescue team, deputies said.
A search for Jones began immediately after he fell overboard at 12:21 a.m., deputies said.
Jone's daughter grabbed a life preserver and jumped in after to rescue him, but was unable to reach him in time, deputies said.
A search for Thomas Goff, of Newark Vally, is still continuing on Owasco Lake.
Goff is believed to have drowned while rescuing his family from a capsized raft on July 25.
