Auburn All-Stars advance to semis

The Auburn 9- and 10-year-old All-Star baseball team battled back from a 1-0 deficit, scoring 10 runs in the top of the fifth en route to a 14-1 win against Fedonia in the quarterfinals of the state sectional tournament in Allegany Saturday.
Stephen Bennett allowed one run and two hits, while striking out seven in five innings. Jack Farrington allowed no hits in the sixth inning.

Auburn's offense was powered by Farrington, who had three hits, and Bennett with two hits.

Alex Burgmaster, Chris Micucci and Matt McGlire also had hits in the win.

Auburn advances to play Webster in the sectional semifinals.
