Youth Soccer: Celina nets two goals, delivers assist

Rescott Celina scored twice while Bridget Moore had one goal and one assist as Chile defeated England 3-1 in an Auburn Arsenal World Cup Division soccer game Monday. Owyn Guinnip and Maria Shernesky added assists in the win. Bridget Cuddy (five saves), Rescott (three), Jamie MacBain and Julia Wagner led the Chile defense.
For England, Lexi Mitchell scored, Meg Ryan had an assist, Malaysia Rajaphoumy had five saves and Ryan had two. Halie Garropy and Payton Charles also played well defensively.

Spain 1, Hungary 1

Marissa Panneti scored for Spain while its defense was led by Julia Rescott (one save), Paige Langtry and Alaina Oughterson.

Hungary's Olivia Amoia scored and Kaylee Fallat assisted. The defense was paced by Carly Ryan (six saves), Aileen Mack and Annie Sabine.

Argentina 0, Zimbabwe 0

Argentina was led by Melissa Collins, Marguerite Cuddy, Lucy Gentile and Bethany Donaldson, while Zimbabwe was paced by Nina Barnes and Tatianna Trojner-Hill.

COLLEGE DIVISION

Bryant 3, Florida 0

Bryant's Madison Dahl scored twice and Danielle Matty found the net once. The defense was led by Kailee Brooks and Stella Reohr.

Florida's defense was paced by Victoria Bachman and Claire Netti.

Cornell 6, Notre Dame 2

Cornell's offense was led by Emma Solomon (three goals), Mia Picciano (two goals, one assist), Miranda Reilley (one goal), Emma Nolan (one assist), Devyn Rogofsky (one assist) and Meghan Ward (one assist).

Chloe Leader and Solomon led defensively.

Notre Dame's Taylor Loving scored twice, while Gracie Bergan and Anna Streeter played well on defense.

Syracuse 5, Duke 2

Emma Bachman scored all five Syracuse goals, while assists came from Samantha Lesch (two), Mikayla Lang, Caitlin Loving and Gabrielle Martinez.

Isabella Amoia and Kaitlyn Diego each scored for Notre Dame, while the defense was sparked by Gabrielle McGinn and Caroline Netti.

Clemson 7, Le Moyne 0

Clemson's Lindsay May had five goals and one assist and Caroline Munn had two goals and two assists, while Emily Botindari, Emma Clark and Elizabeth Diego each had an assist.

FINGERLAKES MINOR SOCCER LEAGUE

SQUIRT DIVISION

Balcom Appliance 1, Vitale Dairy Farm 0

Monica Feeney scored Balcom's lone goal.

Gabe Newton, Chelsea Rooker and Jack Bastian had two saves each for Vitale. Hannah Martens led the offense, while Noelle Rockwood led the defense.

Summit Collision 12, Byrn's Trophy 1

Derek Dietsche led Summit with four goals and two saves. John Pritchard had three goals, while Ryan Spingler and Jermiah Sparks each had two goals. Sydney Gilfus finished with one goal.

Meach Picciano scored Byrn's lone goal, while Alexis Ames had a team-high seven saves. Nick Adioun finished with four saves.

Pet's Auto Repair 1, Summit Chevrolet 1

Joey Leonti scored one goal for Pet's. Aaron Lesch led Pet's with three saves, while Kieran Scanlan and Adrianna Hannig each had two saves. Scanlan and Jacob Lupo led the defense.

Saidee Mathews scored Summit's lone goal. Dylan Napolitano led with three saves, while Karigan Gregory had two. Tyler Reohr finished with a save.

ATOM DIVISION

Firefighters 5, Tinkers 2

Zachary Wagner led the Firefighters with two goals. Matt Russo, Eric Mohan and Nathan Lesch each had a goal, while Matt Blair also led the offense. Daisy Townsend and Russo split time in the net, while Madelyn Markewich and Briana Tonzi led the defense.

Branden Lyons and Rylie Parker each scored a goal for Tinkers, while Collin Bard had an assist. Kane Martin played in goal.

SENIOR DIVISION

Erie Canal Kids 10, Auburn Kiwanis 8

Allan Klimek led Erie's offense with six goals and one assist. Matt Wieman and Kyler Brown each had two goals, while Wieman finished with two assists and Brown contributed with one assist. Ashley Foote led Erie with three assists, while Matt Wilson had one. Steven Clark finished with 11 saves, while Melissa Thomas and Wilson led the defense.

Luke Netti had a team-high five goals for Kiwanis, while Tyler Glimpse, Ian Molloy and Katelynn Bettneir each had one goal. Jim Machollo had 15 saves.

Elbridge Big M 0, Ed and Jeans 0

Allison Blake and Joey Noles led Elbridge's defense, while Ian Phillips had 12 saves. Theresea Hitchcock, Noah Adler and Courney Harris led Ed and Jean's defense.

Clickdriven.com 1, Precision Diecutting 1

Billy Graney scored one goal for Clickdriven.com, while Shawn Murray and Celia Mattie each had two saves. Devin Harris led the defense.

Mason Stabinsky scored one goal for Precision. Zach Nielsen and Nick Jefferds finished with two saves, while Jacob Nielsen had one save. Scott Compson and Jenna Weston led the defense.
