Police are searching for a man who threatened an Auburn convenience store clerk with a knife late Monday night.
The Auburn Police Department said that a man with a large knife and a black cloth concealing his face entered Kwik Fill at 134 State St. at about 11:30 p.m. Monday and demanded cash. Police said the clerk turned over some money and that the robber then fled on foot in the direction of Genesee Garden Apartments.
The suspect is a white male, about 5-feet, 8-inches tall and about 160 pounds. He was wearing baggy, black basketball-style shorts that appeared to have a white stripe with red trim on the outer leg area.
Police request that anyone with information about this robbery call the Auburn Police Department at 253-3235 or lead investigator Detective Bryant Bergenstock at 258-9880. Police say that callers may remain anonymous.
