Youth Baseball: The Printery trio tosses four-hitter

Jacob Maltese, Ben Pinchak and Emmett Mack combined to pitch a four-hitter as The Printery defeated Buy Choice Realty 5-2 in a Pony League playoff baseball game Monday.
The Printery was led offensively by Dan Nolan with three hits, while Pinchak and Jack Canty had two hits apiece. Jack Schattinger and Maltese had a hit apiece while Joe Sabine played well defensively.

For Buy Choice, Kaiden Tubbert (triple) had two hits, Skyler Sliwka tripled and Matt Hesse had a hit. Sliwka and Hesse each pitched while Jimmy Murray played well on defense.

The Citizen 6, Summit Auto 3

The Citizen's Sean Scarselletta doubled twice, Austin Kulas and Brendan Williams each had two hits, Tyler Ely tripled and Dennis Scott single. Kulas, Williams, Matt VanLiew and Scarselletta combined for 14 strikeouts. Austin Pitcher led the defense.

Summit's Ryan Bonilla tripled, while Nick Rink led the defense.

Tinkers 4, Auburn Federal Credit Union 3

Jacob Morin tripled, doubled and singled for Tinkers, while Sal Rizzo had a two-run double in the win. Kyler Viggiano finished with 10 strikeouts.

AFCU was led by James Roeschaub, Luke Purcell and Jordan Condon with two hits apiece.

Michaels and Smolak 12, Stanton Auto 3

Anthony Micucci pitched five innings for the win, while Chris Micucci had two hits, including a home run. John Malandrucolo and Dominic DiFabio each had two hits. Tim Walsh led the defense.

Alex Fallon tripled and pitched the final inning for Michaels and Smolak. Steven Bennett had two hits for Stanton.

BOYS AND GIRLS LEAGUE

Auburn Fire Department Orioles 10, First Niagara Bank Rangers 8

Gregory Baumes, Trenton Quinn and Bradley Lawrence led the Orioles offensively, while Jake Granato, Mathew Mosher, Dakota Lupien and Cameron Trumbull had key hits. The defense was paced by Baumes, Quinn, Paige Lincoln, Mosher, Ernest Stokes and Bradley Lawrence.

Zach Wlad, Josh Wlad, Noah Marr, Etana Davis and Kenny Davis led the Rangers.
