Covich pitches APD to win

Nick Covich pitched a complete game three-hitter to lead Auburn Police Department 12-3 over Bouley's in Auburn Little League action Wednesday.
Covich struck out six on the mound while at the plate were Nick Petrosino who hit a triple and a single, Ryan Dailey contributed two doubles, Austin Martinez added two singles and Joe Brewster and Brandon Noga both hit one double.

Pacing Bouley's were Chandler Coleman who smacked a triple, Nate Evangilista and Brandon Titus both singled while Evangilista and Hunter Charles combined on the mound with seven strikeouts.

SANDLOT

Byrne Dairy 4, Mark's Pizzeria 1

Steve McCarthy pitched a shutout first inning and Jeff Long pitched a shutout third to lead Byrne Dairy, while Steve Gilloolly smacked a triple in the fifth.

Pacing Mark's were Jimmy Feocco who hit a double, AJ Sheets smacked a home run and pitched a shut out fourth inning, while Rory LaRocque added a double.

Absolute Repair 15, Byrn's Trophy 6

Leading Absolute Repair were Tyler Waldron and Haleigh Hotaling who both contributed three hits and two RBIs, Michael Calarco added two hits and one RBI while Corey Bacon and Waldron led defensively.

Jacob Sampson scored two runs for Byrn's Trophy while Nick Hunt made a nice triple play and Abby Swartwood made two outs at third.

PONY LEAGUE

Auburn Federal Credit Union 11, The Citizen 6

Ryan Chalupnicki, Ryan Scott and Luke Purcell combined on the mound to strike out 14 in the win.

Purcell also led at the plate with two hits including a triple, Michael Jakaub earned three runs and Justin Murphy, Richard Currier, Eric Decker and Jordan Fronczek played well defensively.

Pacing The Citizen were Sean Scarselletta and Austin Kulis, who both recorded two hits.

BOYS AND GIRLS

Children's Health Specialists Marlins 14, NYSCOBA Brewers 12

Kaleb Cook went 3-for-3 with three triples to lead the Marlins, Sam Carbonaro contributed three hits and Kaiya Reilley smacked her first hit of the season.

Leading the Marlins defense were Asia Arnaldo, Ryan Fedigan and Logan Murphy.

Max Bergan, Jacob Borza and Jakob Sanders each collected two hits to pace the Brewers while A.J. Williams played well defensively.

MUSTANG

Kiwanis, Auburn Memorial Hospital

Playing well for Kiwanis were Carter Bashta and Bobby Faynor, who both tallied four hits and four runs, Jay Baranick hit one double, three singles and scored four runs, Grace Baranick smacked two doubles, two singles and scored four times, Nick Indelicato collected two doubles, two singles and four runs while Jeff Zink added four singles and two runs.

Defensively leading Kiwanis were Troy Churney, Andre Gomez, Jacob Reilly and Ryan Phillips.

Auburn Memorial Hospital was led at the plate by Hunter Tubbert, who recorded three hits and three runs, Jacob Roy posted three hits and two runs, Robert Doyle finished with four hits and two runs and Patrick Stottler ended with four hits and three runs while Ethan Colin Ryan played strong defense.
