Youth Baseball: Alberici steals home, secures win

Nick Alberici stole home in the bottom of the seventh to secure an 11-10 victory for Stanton Automatics over Tinkers in an Auburn Little League baseball game Monday.
Stanton's Stephen Bennett collected four hits including a home run, Alberici tallied two hits, Raushaun Hollis and Ahron Secor both finished with a double, and Justin Marullo, Justin Webster, Nick Dec and Greg Walsh had one hit apiece.

Marullo and Bennett turned a double play to lead the Stanton defense while Bennett, Sam Vasile, Hollis and Webster combined for 12 strikeouts.

Pacing Tinkers, Sal Rizzo homered, Justin Peglow and Jake Morin each contributed three hits and Richard McConnell added two hits.

Casler Masonry 5, Weaver Tool 2

Noah Christiantelli had three hits in the win, Ally Nicolosi had two hits and Trent Jackson added a double.

Christiantelli, Casey Komanecky and Tyler Daddabbo held Weaver to six hits.

Brandon Delf and Jon Bell had two hits each for Weaver, while Paul Musso and Joe Dyson each pitched.

Bouleys 11, Tinkers 9

Mike Charles led Bouleys with three hits, including a long home run, Skippy Fasce also had three hits (triple) and Nate Evangelista added three singles. Johnny Eldred paced the defense.

Fasce and Evangelista scattered seven hits on the mound.

Jack Burgmaster, Nick Adams and Victor Martinez had two hits each in the loss, while Pat LaDouce, Connor Finizio and Josh Frost shared mound duties.

SANDLOT

Byrne Dairy 5, Nucor 4

Austin Jenner and Mitch Fronce hit a home run each to lead Byrne.

Brady Jenner tripled and doubled while Steve McCarthy pitched.

Shawn Demarse worked the mound for two innings and threw four strikeouts for Nucor, while Dan Kopp scored a run.

BABE RUTH

Auburn Police Department 4, S-K Post 2

APD's Zach LaDouce smacked two hits (double), one RBI and scored twice, while Pete Sigona, Matt Nolan, Bret Lawrence and Kevin Chalker each added one hit.

Nolan threw five innings for APD and picked up nine strikeouts, while Cody Ladisair also shared mound duties.

Nick Price threw six strikeouts in six strong innings. Mike Gentile also pitched.

Price had two hits and Joe Wilson finishing with one hit.

Auburn Federal Credit Union 7, Auburn Police Department 6

Matt Moore drove in Josh Sturin with for the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth.

AFCU's Trevor Doan finished with three hits, Stephen Gianotta, Anthony Murray, Joe Schillace, Moore and Nico Lupo each contributed hits, and Murray earned the win, pitching in relief of Doan and Liam Graszko.

Pacing APD were Luke Drancsak, John Westmiller, Chris Watros, Matt Brooks and Conor Teneyck.

AMERICAN LEGION

S-K Post 7, Moravia 2

Teddy Hart threw a complete game, scattering four hits and striking out 13 to lead S-K Post. Colby Auer and Dave Sargent had RBI doubles, Noah Donch contributed two hits and Sean Cooper, Zach Frost and Mike Hutchings added a hit apiece.

Pacing Moravia, Justin Stanton doubled while sharing the mound with Dylan Mackey.

BOYS AND GIRLS

Tim's Powerwashing Inc. Indians 9, First Niagara Rangers 8

Ryan Stewart knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the fifth to secure a close win by the Indians, while Nathan Nedza and Josh Kowaleski both scored twice.

Defensively, the Indians were led by Andrew Boglione, Nedza, Steve Baier and Jacob Bryant.

Allie Wilmot, Alex Nedza and Thomas Nedza played well behind the plate for the Indians, while outfielders Jacob Wawrzaszek, Angelo Carter, Tayler Chadderdon and Jacob Podfigurny also played well.

The Rangers were led by Braeden Curry, Moira Curry, Alauna Llamas and Rachel Tarby.

The Printery Pirates 24, Empire Hardware Dodgers 24

The Pirates were led by Nick Schattinger who hit two doubles and one single, Tommy Ventura hit one double and three singles and Trey Masters added two singles.

Gianna Galbally, Vyshaun Davis and Leon Atkins each played well defensively for the Pirates.

Leading the Dodgers, Robert Hill had a triple, two doubles and a single, Traper Coville contributed one double and three singles, Jeffrey Shutter added four hits and Dick McConnell hit for the cycle, finishing with a single, a double, a triple and a home run.

The Dodgers were led defensively by Gabby McGinn, Josh Lentini, Madeline Lentini and Tony McConnell.

Vision Care Associates Athletics 22, Reflections Dermatology Red Sox 21

Leading the Athletics were Meghan Giannotta and Madison Martin who both tallied three hits and three runs, Luke Lukowski contributed two hits and a home run, and Haylee Quinton and Treyvon Overstreet both added two hits.

Pacing the Red Sox, Kalib Fassett and Patrick Mahunik earned three hits and three runs apiece, while John Kennedy and Max Hayden finished with two hits apiece.

Byrne Dairy Mets 19, Reflections Dermatology Red Sox 15

Leading the Mets, Eric Lupo and Cameron Hodson collected four hits apiece while Maddy Walters, Tehya Kloster and Sydney Alberici each contributed two hits Sunday.

Playing well defensively for the Mets were Jaden Miglionica, Landon Perkins and Patrick Willis.

The Red Sox were paced by Zoe Wesko and John LaDucca who both tallied four hits, while Tyler Simpson, Max Hayden and Kayla Mallory each added two hits.
