Skaneateles sophomore Eric Edmunds shot a 78 Sunday and a 75 Monday to place ninth at the New York State Intersectional Golf Tournament at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Cornell University.
Edmunds earned all-state honors and was also one of six golfers in the top 20 to be chosen to compete at the Federation Tournament in Elmira this weekend.
“It is a really big honor and he played really well,” Skaneateles coach John Quijano said.
“I thought I could do well,” Edmunds added. “I was really happy to win all-state, that was my goal and to be picked out of the top 20 to play in the Federation Tournament is a really big deal.”
Edmunds was tied for 17th before entering Monday's final round.
