A pair of special Cayuga County Legislature meetings have been scheduled next week, one to deal with the mental health department building project and the other the Cayuga Indian Nation of New York land-into-trust case.
A special meeting at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at the legislative chambers of the county office building will be called to select a project management firm for the mental health center projec. The county is renovating and expanding its facility on North Street in Auburn. Legislators heard form firms bidding for the project earlier this week but several legislators at that meeting said they were not given needed documents about each firm's bids.
The land-into-trust meeting is a work session planned for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES campus, 1879 West Genesee St. Road, in the town of Aurelius.
