A 31-year-old Skaneateles man was killed Monday night when his motorcycle struck a utility pole in the town of Skaneateles.
According to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, at 6:53 p.m., Michael Bozeat was operating his 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Old Seneca Turnpike, east of Mottville Road, when he apparently lost control, drifted off the north end of the road, struck a utility pole and was ejected from the motorcycle.
Rescue crews from the Mottville Fire Department and the Skaneateles Ambulance Volunteer Emergency Service responded to the scene where Bozeat was pronounced dead.
Sheriff's accident investigators conducted an investigation and will await autopsy results to aid in determining the cause of the crash.
