The Jordan-Elbridge softball team scored 12 runs in the third inning in a 13-1 victory over Skaneateles Wednesday.
The Lakers gave up eight hits in the inning and committed four errors.
“It all started with one error and then the roof seemed to cave in on us,” Skaneateles coach Bob Braunitzer said.
Leading Jordan-Elbridge at the plate were Jenn Gasparek who contributed three hits, three RBIs and one double, Sarah Fordyce added two hits and two RBIs, Sam Lewis went 3-for-4 and Trista Williams collected two hits and two RBIs.
Skaneateles was paced by Erica Tardiff who went 2-for-3 with a double, Britton Weber added one hit and one RBI, and Emily Devins, Jackie Leslie and Zoe Hilpl each finished with one hit.
Hilpl also threw five strikeouts and suffered the loss.
Skaneateles (2-12) hosts Hannibal today and the Eagles host Homer.
Auburn 13, Nottingham 0
Ali VanGiesen and Meg Feocco combined for the shutout, their first of the season. The Auburn duo allowed just three hits and no walks, while striking out nine. At one point, they retired 14 straight batters.
Stefanie Spinney (three RBIs), Kelly Grinnell (double) and VanGiesen (double, two-run single) each had two hits. Jamie Bruno added a two-run single and Nikki Neagle had an RBI triple.
Auburn travels to West Genesee today.
Bishop Grimes 16, Weedsport 0
Julia Myers went the distance, throwing 10 strikeouts and allowing nine hits in the loss.
Weedsport's Allison Chase doubled and Dee Dolph singled.
The Warriors travel to LaFayette Saturday.

Freshman Patrick Farrell pitched five innings, throwing three strikeouts and allowing four hits and three earned runs. He didn't factor into the decision.
Nick Topichak earned the win, throwing two strikeouts while allowing one hit and one run.
The Warriors were leading 7-1 after the second inning but gave it all back as Bishop Grimes tied it up in the seventh.
In the bottom of the seventh, Dave Chirco doubled, Tony Piascik was hit by a pitch and advanced to second on a fielder's choice. Pinch-hitter Adam Mlod then delivered a walk-off single to score Chirco.
Tthe Warriors were led by C.J. Chase, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI, Justin Rose contributed two hits, two runs and one RBI, Piascik was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Jordan Stott finished with one hit and one RBI.
Weedsport (7-7) travels to LaFayette Saturday.

Gavin Gleason earned the win, throwing five strikeouts while allowing three hits and one run.
At the plate, Timothy Smith went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs, John Fiermonte collected two hits with two runs and one RBI, and Tyler Garafalo went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBIs.
The Maroons (13-3 overall 5-2 league) host West Genesee today at Falcon Park.
Dryden 12, Union Springs 2
Jared Bretherton had an RBI single and Jim Burns added the only other Union Springs' hit.
The score was tied 2-2 through six innings, but Dryden exploded for 10 runs in the seventh.
Justin Lyndaker pitched 6 2-3 innings, allowing seven earned runs with six strikeouts.
The Wolves (7-10 overall, 7-3 IAC) travel to play Cato-Meridian today.

Larissa Carter was the medalist, carding a 42 for the Maroons.
Also leading Auburn were Mindy Fowler with a 50, while Virginia Porten and Kaylee Roeschlaub both shot a 55.
