DJ Helmer (double, two RBIs) and Jake Bennett (RBI) each had two hits and Dan Jefferds supplied a two-run triple as the Port Byron baseball team beat Red Creek 15-2 Saturday.
Brandon Anderson pitched two innings, struck out four and allowed no hits. Jake Bennett got the start and lasted two innings, while allowing two hits and a run. Matt Janusz relieved Anderson and went two innings, giving up a run and striking out three. Matt Warren finished the game off, pitching an inning and striking out a batter.
Caleb Green knocked in a run in, while Jamie Cuff and Andrew Sealy each had a hit and an RBI. Brad Smith added a hit in the win.
Port Byron (3-11) travels to Pulaski Thursday.
BOYS GOLF
Cato-Meridian 239, Weedsport 254
The Blue Devils' Todd Wilcox was the medalist at Meadowbrook Golf Course with a 42. Paul Barbagallo and Chris Sperling each shot a 46 while Taylor Rolland carded a 47.
Cody Fabian and Drew Lane each shot a 43 for the Warriors, while Jake DeChick had a 48.
Weedsport (5-6) hosts Port Byron Monday while Cato-Meridian (3-7) hosts Pulaski Monday.

Connor Entenmann led the Maroons with four goals and three assists. Chris Murdoch and Andrew Chadderdon each had four goals and two assists. Jason Teeter and Brian Church each recorded a hat trick, while Teeter had an assist. Nick Herlihy scored two goals, while Dave Jacobs had a goal.
Chris Porten led the Maroons with four assists, while Matt Festa had two assists and Ryan Cuddy had an assist.
Adam Perri finished with three saves, while Scott Blauvelt had two.
The Maroons held an advantage in ground balls with 61-16, while shots on goal were 49-5.
Auburn (8-4 overall, 4-4 league) travels to Oswego Tuesday.

Skaneateles 7, Mexico 4
The Lakers took third place in the Phoenix Tournament, while Zoe Hilpl picked up the win and earned all-tournament honors, striking out two while allowing seven hits and four runs.
“We're real happy with the effort,” Lakers coach Bob Braunitzer said. “They did a real good job.”
Britton Weber led the offense with a two-run triple and was also named to the all-tournament team. Rachael Wise had a hit, a sacrifice and three RBIs. Emily Devins and Erica Tardiff each had a hit, while Emily Call and Jackie Coyle had a hit and an RBI.

Marisa Valentino struck out 15, while allowing only two hits in the shutout. Rachel Johnston, Melana Ott and Valentino each had a hit, while the Wolves used their speed to produce their runs.
