MYRTLE BEACH -- A 17-year-old New York girl remains missing after a weekend trip to Myrtle Beach.
Police Capt. David Knipes said Thursday officers continue to scour the town along with the girl's mother, Dawn Drexel.
Brittanee Drexel was reported missing Sunday. Police say she was last seen Saturday after she left a group of friends who had traveled from Rochester, N.Y., to visit people at another hotel.
Drexel never returned.
Maids told police they saw a girl fitting Drexel's description get off a bus around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday near the hotel where she had been staying. Knipes said Thursday police have confirmed it wasn't Brittanee.
