Take time to enjoy food every now and then

When you are dining on a budget, healthy meals are just as important as cost. Nutrition (and exercise) not only help keep the body fit - making you less self conscious when you put on those summer clothes - but also help you stay mentally healthy and more able to cope with stress.
In summary, during this particular time of much stress and warmer weather, we should limit ourselves to salads and other healthy meals.

But because there is so much stress, I think we should also treat ourselves to the occasional option of pleasure over nutrition. Some of the following desserts may be healthier than others, but none of these recipes are good for you in any way.

Enjoy at your own risk, use self control, and don't say I didn't warn you.

The Most Dangerous Chocolate Cake Ever

4 tablespoons flour

4 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa

1 egg

3 tablespoons milk

3 tablespoons oil

3 tablespoons chocolate chips (if you're really daring)

A splash of vanilla extract

One large coffee mug

Combine all dry ingredients in the coffee mug and mix well. Add the egg and mix well. Pour in the milk and oil, mixing again.

Finally, add the splash of vanilla and chocolate chips (if you dare) and mix again.

Microwave (in the coffee mug) for 3 minutes (at 1,000 watts) or 5 minutes for lower wattage.

The cake may rise over the coffee cup and look unappetizing, but don't let this fool you. Allow to cool before tipping onto a plate. Garnish with some fruit if it makes you feel less guilty.

Note: This recipe is known as the most dangerous chocolate cake recipe ever because, obviously, you are now only minutes away from a delicious chocolate cake whenever the craving kicks in.

Strawberry Cheesecake Parfait

1 package strawberry Jell-O

1 package cheesecake pudding mix

Graham crackers

Optional fruit fillings: bananas, kiwi, strawberries or cherries

Prepare Jell-O according to directions. Distribute evenly into parfait dishes before refrigerating to cool. (You may add a few pieces of fruit if you wish.)

Once solidified, make cheesecake pudding according to directions, and then place pudding in a zip-locked bag with a corner cut out.

Pipe the pudding into parfait glasses on top of the Jell-O. (You may use a few pieces of fruit for a middle layer if you wish.)

Top pudding with whipped cream (optional) and graham cracker crumbs.
