Christina Dove's five goals powered the eighth-ranked Syracuse University women's lacrosse team to a 15-6 win over Rutgers to claim a share of the Big East regular-season title Saturday. Katie Rowan also contributed six assists, enough to move her into third place all-time on the Division I career assists lists with 151. She also added a goal to give her seven points and raise her career total to 368, seventh all-time.
With the Scarlet Knights up 1-0 early, Dove scored her first goal, while the assist came from Rowan to spark a 5-0 Orange run. Awehiyo Thomas also pitched in during the run as she scored two goals, while Megan Mosenson and Tee Ladouceur added the other goals to put the Orange up 5-1 with 13:14 left in the half. The Scarlet Knights didn't fade away either as they scored three straight goals, but then Dove scored twice in the final three minutes to put the Orange up 7-4.

Just 48 seconds into the second half, Rutgers struck again, making it 7-5, but that was as close as it would get. In the final 25:13, the Orange outscored Rutgers 8-1.

Syracuse will play in the semifinals of the Big East Tournament in Washington D.C. Friday.
