A proposal to build a cheese factory is scheduled to be featured on national television today.

According to representatives from the Saratoga Cheese Corp., CNN will run a story today and this weekend on the company's $41 million plan to erect a 64,000-square-foot plant in Aurelius.

The story is part of a series by the cable network on positive business news in the midst of economic turmoil.

The feature is scheduled to run 11 times between today and Sunday on both CNN and HLN, formerly Headline News. A written article about the cheese factory is also currently posted on CNN's Web site

Saratoga Cheese is currently still trying to raise $10 million in private funding for the project, and the company has secured $31 million in public financing through tax rebates, equipment leasing, grants and low-income loans.

Much of those funds came through lobbying efforts with federal government and Empire State Development, the state's economic development agency.

The proposal has the plant locating in the business park in Aurelius off of Routes 5 and 20.
