Dr. Chung Oh appreciated for his dedication, caring

Saturday, March 14, 2009 11:52 PM EDT

In Auburn we always do a great job of honoring our own. Sports, kids, organizations and institutions. I would like you to help me honor another institution, Dr. Chung Oh.
For more than 36 years Dr. Oh has served the Auburn community with complete dedication, honesty and caring.

Dr. Oh from the beginning was something special. My mother and I know about Dr. Oh's surgical skills, knowledge and his refreshing honesty. When I had to go to the emergency room and he was called at 1 a.m. he was there by 1:15 and he stayed with my treatment until I was stabilized at 11:20 a.m.

He didn't tell you what you wanted to hear, but he did tell what you needed to hear. When I was at my lowest, he questioned me if I had religion. From that minute on I began to pray and things started to get better. He helped me in any way he knew to care for me physically, mentally and spiritually.

We're putting together something that will show our gratitude for everyone he's helped over these years. You can call me at 283-8855 if you would like to participate in our appreciation event. Please call me by March 20.
