Cato-Meridian's Austin Lee pinned top-seeded Glenn Garrett, of Holland Patent, to claim the Section III championship in the 285-pound weight class Saturday at the Section III, Division II Wrestling Championships at Utica Memorial Auditorium.

Lee's pin came in 59 seconds. Last season, he finished in second place.

The Blue Devils also had a trio of third-place finishers. Cato-Meridian's Dom Giacolone defeated Port Byron's Caleb Green with a 9-3 decision to take third place in the 112-pound weight class. Green took fourth and was 2-2 on the day.

At 152 pounds, the Blue Devils' Nick Lalone placed third, beating Mohawk's Zach Hunt with a 7-4 decision, while teammate Ethan Holt (160 pounds) defeated Ilion's Jon Treen with a 5-1 decision to also place third.

Jordan-Elbridge's Brian Murray finished third at 285 pounds. Murray knocked off Phoenix's Adam Smith with a 3-1 decision.

Cato-Meridian's Joe Giuffrida took fourth in the 171-pound class, beating Holland Patent's Tyler Mann with an 8-4 decision. He eventually lost to South Jefferson's Jordan Jerome.

Jordan-Elbridge's Mike Nguyen (112) defeated Ilion's Keith Hacker with a 6-3 decision in the fifth-place match.
