A.J. Rothenburg led the Cato-Meridian boys basketball team with 24 points in their 79-60 win over Jordan-Elbridge Thursday.
Cody Humberstone also had 22 points for the Blue Devils on the team's senior night.

“The kids played well in this rival game,” Blue Devils head coach Ryan Brunelle said. “We've been inconsistent here and there, but I feel we put it together and did everything we should on offense and defense.”

The Eagles' Tom Graf scored 13 to lead the offense.

Cato-Meridian closed out its regular season strong, by defeating Tyburn Academy 60-42 on Wednesday, but falling to Pulaski 71-66 in overtime on Monday.

Cato-Meridian (13-8) awaits its Section III, Class C playoff seeding on Sunday afternoon.

Port Byron 61, Manlius Pebble Hill 58

DJ Helmer and Vince Cyr each scored 14 points, while Jacob Ross scored 12 for the Panthers.

Port Byron (9-10) travels to LaFayette today.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Marcellus 41, Skaneateles 27

Jackie Leslie scored eight points to lead the Lakers, while Ashley Sheldon finished with five.

Holly Ross had four steals on defense, while Jordan Dudden and Emily Call each assisted three shots. Call also had three steals on the defensive side.

The Lakers were hurt in the third quarter after allowing the Mustangs to outscore them 17-4.

At the charity line Skaneateles also went 2-for-18, while Marcellus was 11-for-16.

“I can't explain that,” Lakers coach Bob Braunitzer said. “We held them below our expectations on the defensive side, but offensively we didn't make the goals.”

Skaneateles (1-19 overall, 0-16 league) awaits its Section III, Class B seeding Sunday.
