The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for a missing 12-year-old boy, Andrew Taber
Taber is a white male, 5-feet tall approximately 95 pounds with brown eyes and short sandy brown hair.
The child ran away Tuesday afternoon and was last seen on Green Street in the Village of Port Byron where he resides. Taber made comments to friends about wanting to make his way to Georgia to visit relatives.
Taber is considered missing/endangered due to these comments. Taber was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white-hooded sweatshirt and work boots. Taber may be walking the roads attempting to make his way to Syracuse. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office at 253-1222 or dial 911.
