Christian Berwind scored 23 points to lead the Jordan-Elbridge boys basketball team to a 71-46 win over Tyburn Academy Saturday. Berwind hit six 3-pointers to help the Eagles. Tom Graf and Matt Simmonds finished with nine points each, Teddy Hart scored eight and Jeff Donofrio had six.
Tyburn was led by Andrew Cunningham as he scored 14 points, while Cody Cottrell finished with eight. Spencer Blackman contributed five points.
Port Byron 60, Manlius Pebble Hill 50
Jacob Ross led the Panthers with a double-double as he scored 16 points, while picking up 19 rebounds. Tommy Giannettino scored 12 points and Robert Yeomans added eight points.
Port Byron travels to Weedsport Monday.

Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament
Phoenix 49, Skaneateles 45
Emily Call had a huge game for the Lakers, scoring 17 points, 12 on 3-pointers as the Lakers lost in the consolation game. Call also contributed four assists and four rebounds.
“She played a great game,” Lakers coach Bob Braunitzer said.
Katherine Pille scored 12 points, while assisting four shots, coming down with four boards and having four steals. Jackie Leslie rounded out the Lakers offense with nine points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
Skaneateles (1-17 overall, 0-14 league) hosts Bishop Ludden Monday.

Liberty/Patriot League Tournament
Cato-Meridian
Dom Giacolone took first place in the 112-pound weight class, while Nick Lalone (152 pounds), Ethan Holt (160) and Austin Lee (285) also came in first. Allen Holdridge (130) finished third, while Pat Walton (135) and Joey Guiffrida finished fifth. Nick Holt (125) and Brandon Bosco (171) came in sixth.
“It wasn't one of our better performances,” Blue Devils coach Dan Butler said.
Cato-Meridian hosts Mexico Monday.

Union Springs
Tom Weir took first place in the 215-pound weight class, going 5-0. Andy Klock (135) finished 3-2 to take third, while Rich Thurston (140) took fourth at 2-3.

JP Garropy finished first in the triple jump (38-4.5) and the 55m hurdles (9.1) for the Wolves in the ninth and 10th grade meet at Cortland. Shane Groom finished second in the triple jump (34-3.75).
Groom, Garropy, Jared Bretherton and Chris Dungey took fourth in the 4x200m relay (1:50.7).

Steve Titus rolled a 657 for the Maroons as they clinched first place in the CNYCL American Division. Nick Bolak rolled a 604, while Ed Gleason rounded out Auburn with a 237 and 225.
Auburn (8-1 league) hosts Cicero-North Syracuse Monday.
