Winter storm could bring 6 to 8 inches of snow

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for southern Cayuga County from Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.
The agency said a low pressure system that could bring heavy snows is expected to track through the region. While the heaviest snowfall is expected in northern Pennsylvania, this region could see 6 to 8 inches.

A winter storm watch means a storm is possible but not a certainty. Auburnpub.com will post updates from the National Weather Service as they become available.
