I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the 200 kindhearted individuals, churches, businesses and families who participated in AIDS Community Resources#, 2008 Holiday Angel Program, and to let them know what their generosity meant for those who received gifts.

One of the volunteers who delivered gifts to our clients called the experience bittersweet. “It was absolutely heartbreaking to see the Christmas trees standing in the corners of so many houses without a single gift underneath them,#” the volunteer said. “When you realize that the gifts Holiday Angels provided will be the only ones they receive, it really brings home the importance of this program.#”

Similar scenes played out in many AIDS Community Resources families#, homes in Cayuga, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego and St. Lawrence counties, as the generosity of Holiday Angels gave comfort and inspired smiles and joy.

As HIV infections increase and the economy worsens, needs multiply. Your gifts went to 365 clients and family members who send their thanks to you along with mine. You don't meet them face to face, but please know you made a huge difference in their lives. Thank you for your kindness.
