It has been one year since our 2007 campaign for Cayuga County Legislator, District 14 has come to an end. I have used this time to reflect on what has and/or has not developed in Cayuga County.

Some may feel my comments are after the fact, but sometimes I operate outside the lines. I am grateful to the votes of District 14 for the support I received during our 2007 campaign. Thank you for the occasion to extend my beliefs and strategies regarding economic development, Owasco Lake rescue and improving county/city relations.

I particularly desire to communicate my respect to those that listened to me and exercised their right to vote. My campaign committee personified loyalty and commitment, without them the experience would have been a total loss. To those that participated in our fundraisers, a hardy thanks.

To Guy Cosentino and The Citizen, I extent my appreciation for recognizing my strengths and abilities with your endorsement. Thanks to former Mayor Tim Lattimore and Roger Mills for their friendship and sharing of their time/expertise. Also, to the positive direction given by Sheriff David Gould, thanks.

I met many credible people during my run for the Legislature. The professional attitudes of the Republican and Conservative Party chairs were extremely favorable. Thanks to the Springside Inn for being an elegant host for our major fundraisers.

I intend to continue embracing the concerns of District 14 and Cayuga County.

I compliment legislator Dan Sincebaugh on completing his first year representing the people of Cayuga County, and I pray all is well for he and his family.
