LaForce is scoring force for Weedsport

In the first round of the CCYO seventh and eighth grade girls playoffs, Weedsport Calkins Drywall defeated Southern Cayuga 31-17.
Gabby LaForce led Calkins with 14 points while Biz Chirco added seven.

The defensive effort for Weedsport was led by Jordan Shoemaker, Erica Melchior and Chirco.

In the semifinals Auburn I earned a 38-33 victory over Calkins Drywall, their first loss of the season.

LaForce again paced Weedsport, tallying 22 points and five rebounds while Chirco finished with six points.

FIFTH AND SIXTH GRADE GIRLS

Beardsley & Beardsley Construction 21, Karing Kennels 13

Beardsley's Abbey Marsden recorded 11 points while Alexis Randall and Melissa Pelc each tallied four points.

Courtney Donovan collected five points and Katie Locastro added four to pace Karing Kennels.

Beardsley & Beardsley Construction 20, Skaneateles III 12

Scoring for Beardsley & Beardsley Construction were Melissa Pelc who contributed seven points while Grace Beardsley and Abbey Marsden both added four points.

Shanon Foehl and Kalsey Kiatz both earned four points for Skaneateles.

SIXTH GRADE BOYS

Jordan-Elbridge 34, J&B Installations 20

Ryan Cooper led Jordan-Elbridge with 16 points while Sean Conroy posted six points.

Austin Napilano and Kyle Powers each talllied six points to pace J&B Installations.

Nevi's Construction 30, Recckio's Body Shop 12

Nevi's Mike Chirco collected eight points while Andy Young and Brytan Knapp both posted six points.

Nick Slokadic finished with five points while Dan Swartout added four to pace Recckio's.

FIFTH GRADE BOYS

Ron Case Construction 33, DB's Drive In 15

Ron Case's Shaun Ferguson scored 15 points, JJ O'Connor added 10 points and five assists, and Nick Jones earned eight points and three rebounds.

Jake Lamphere collected seven points, Noah Schramn tallied six points and Lucas Fudo posted three to pace DB's Drive In.

CYO

EIGHTH GRADE

St. Alphonsus II 38, SS. Peter and Paul 26

Will Page scored 23 points to lead St. Alphonsus while Matt Netti posted eight.

Pacing SS. Peter and Paul was Alex O'Kal who recorded 14 points.

St. Mary's 42, Sacred Heart II 38

Leading St. Mary's were Matt Johns who earned 23 points and Jake Clark with 17 points.

Mike Schmid paced Sacred Heart with 10 points.

Sacred Heart I 58, Holy Family 35

Conner Herr posted 17 points and Ryan Ringwood earned 16 to lead Sacred Heart.

Holy Family was led by Branden Redmond with 14 points.

SIXTH GRADE

St. Francis 39, Sacred Heart 26

Matthew Faiola collected 20 points to lead St. Francis while Jon Brown added six.

Pacing Sacred Heart were Anthony Alberici with 10 points and Kenny Sargent with eight.

SS. Peter and Paul 26, St. Alphonsus I 11

Leading SS. Peter and Paul were Kent Wrobel with eight points and Danni Vuillemot with six points.

Tony Vivenzio earned five points and Chole Dragone finished with three to pace St. Alphonsus.

St. Alphonsus II, St. Mary's

Jack Hogan earned 13 points for St. Alphonsus while Ben Pinchak added four points.

Scoring for St. Mary's were Mitch Lomascolo and Trent Lawrence with six points apiece.

INSTRUCTIONAL

St. Mary's II 29, St. Mary's I 19

Matt Hesse, Sal Rizzo, Cooper Wilson and Connor Davia led St. Mary's II while St. Mary's I was paced by Mike Pidlypchak and Jake MacIntosh.

St. Alphonsus III 16, St. Mary's I 6

Evan Donovan, Josh Cuddy and TJ Baranick led St. Alphonsus while St. Mary's was led by Mike Pidlypchak and Rob Dempsey.

Sacred Heart 30, St. Hyacinth 20

Leading Sacred Heart were Madelyn Herbert, Mitchell Fanning, Nick Alberici and Julia Rescott.

St. Hyacinth was paced by Briley Lazio, Joe Sabine, Chris Smith and Tom Lipiska.

St. Alphonsus I 9, Holy Family 7

Taylor Lansbury and Caitlin Loving played well for St. Alphonsus while Rachael Simmonds, Ryan Gilbert and Carmen Liberatore led Holy Family.

St. Mary's II 15, St. Francis 5

Sal Rizzo, Cooper Wilson and Matt Hesse led St. Mary's while Paul Fallon and Francesca Faiola played well for St. Francis.

SS. Peter and Paul 20, St. Alphonsus II 10

Playing well for SS. Peter and Paul were Briana Tonzi, Michael Pysnack and Eric Mohan while Parker Hogan and Luke Hogan paced St. Alphonsus.
