Success starts with your own definition of success

To determine what success is for you, write down your specific career and life goals. Don't follow a path toward dissatisfaction because you have allowed others to force their opinion about what success is on you. If I have managed to support myself, make some contributions, and have some fun along the way, then that is what success is to me.
Successful entrepreneurs (let alone any successful professional) have a strong sense of self and self awareness; and constantly look to expand this about themselves - recognizing that all challenges, all fear, all uncertainty melts away and have no more power in the face of consciousness.

Lots of kids say one of their goals is to “be successful,” but they don't understand what that really means. Personal satisfaction, a balanced life, and financial stability are all aspects of being successful, but no one is going to reach these goals unless he sincerely believes in what he does. If you have done your best and have met your goals, this is success.

Money is typically a bi-product of being successful at what you do, but success is more about accomplishment in your particular field than it is about money. Money could actually be what you want to have (or “being” rich) but most likely it would be something else that you really want to have or be. Money will buy me a house, but not a home, a bed, but not a good night's sleep, money in the bank, celebrity status, flashy car, trophy partner.

Personal fulfillment is the result of success, not a definition of success. Personally my key factors to success are as follows: I believe if we see and judge things as per next person's view, it will result in success, no matter if it's about employers planning some strategies considering their employees, their field of expertise and their needs, or if it's about a teacher's format or methodology to teach their students in such a way that students can absorb the maximum of stuff taught. Personal success is just that achievement of whatever produces a happy outcome for you. Personally, I find happiness in purpose, so I consider that success for me is achieving what I've set out to do.

Goals should be based off what is important to you and what you love. Goals only give you power when they are solid and definite. As one success, ambition or goal is reached another one is created, superseding its previous.

Success is like art; it is whatever you believe it to be.

I have a slightly different idea of what success is. The first thing that you have to do when you are talking about success is define what success is to you. To be clear about what success is must be the first step to achieving success. There is often so much confusion about what success is. Challenge beloved myths about what success is and how it is accomplished.

" Mark,

Very well said! I was just speaking about nearly the same thing yesterday. Success isn't about money though it is to many that miss life's precious points. They will never be rewarded with the feeling of self gratification. That is why no matter where I help or what I do, I feel a success. It isn't about us. Especially in Auburn it should be about the kids of the future.

Best of luck
