A lake effect snow advisory is in place through noon Saturday for the southern half of Cayuga County, the National Weather Service said.
The agency said the lake effect snows will become flurries by the afternoon.
Daytime accumulations will range from 3 to 5 inches in the heaviest lake effect snow bands.
