LAFAYETTE -- A 22-year-old central New York woman faces multiple charges after leading state police on a two-mile chase at nearly 90 mph on an interstate highway.
Randi Edwards of Nedrow was arrested after spinning out and crashing her Ford SUV on Interstate 81, just south of Syracuse.
Troopers charged Edwards with reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, unlawfully fleeing, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and other vehicle and traffic violations after the incident.
The chase began after state police got a report of a car operating erratically in the LaFayette area at about 11:45 a.m. Thursday. Troopers say it's fortunate traffic was light at the time.
Edwards was arraigned in town of Onondaga Court. Troopers say she doesn't yet have a lawyer.
