Winter precipitation is creating some slippery conditions -- and numerous accidents -- in and around the city of Auburn.
Emergency responders are responding to motor vehicle accidents near North Street and Standart Avenue, Prospect Street, Seminary Avenue and Grant Avenue and reporting extremely icy conditions. No serious injuries have been reported. Crews are also assisting a report of a person falling on the ice at the Wal-Mart store on Grant Avenue.
Fortunately, conditions should improve as the day goes on and temperatures rise.
The National weather Service is calling for occasional snow showers before 3p.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers. High near 35. Southeast wind around 8 mph. Little or no snow accumulation is expected.
