Here's what Ryan Day wrote in the Orange Slices blog prior to the buzzer-beater, upset loss Syracuse suffered to Cleveland State at the Carrier Dome:
"I know much of the focus is on Syracuse's top-25 date with Memphis this weekend, but don't sleep on Cleveland State. The Vikings are 6-4, but they've already played a tough schedule, including games against Washington and West Virginia. Cleveland State, led by former Rutgers head coach Gary Waters, was an NIT team a year ago and piled up 20-plus wins in the process.
All I'm saying is Syracuse loses to a crap mid-major every year at home. If that trend is going to continue this year, and I'm sure most hope it doesn't, this is the only red flag left on the schedule."
