A Cato family will be attending the 2009 Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif., to participate in decorating the Donate Life float.
Karen Kline and her family will help to make 38 floragraphs to recognize the families of individuals who have donated their organs. One of the floragraphs will be in memory of the Kline's 12-year-old daughter, Kelly, whose donation saved the lives of three other individuals.
Kelly passed away in 1999 after suffering from a high temperature and seizure.
Lilly Allen, of Syracuse, will also be recognized by the float. Allen received a liver transplant in 1984 when she was 1 year old.
Donor families will also place one rose on the float in memory of their loved one.
