“We still have a lot of work to do,” Butler said. “We need to keep getting better. The reality is that this match should have been closer, but the Panthers were missing some wrestlers.”
Cato-Meridian (7-1) travels to Campbell-Savona to participate in their dual meet, Saturday.
“We just need to keep improving,” Butler said. “We have young kids that need to gain the wrestle mentality. They are working very hard and progressing each match.”
Port Byron (5-4) travels to East Syracuse-Minoa, Tuesday.
“They have a fairly young team also,” Tom Green said. “We have to just keep working hard and go over some things.”
The Panthers will use their experience they earned against a strong Blue Devils team throughout their year.
“It's a great thing to play a great program like Cato-Meridian,” Tom Green said. “It's the only way to get better. You have to wrestle good kids to do that.”
