Cayuga County officials issued a travel advisory for all area roads Friday afternoon and announced that the county office building would be closing at 3 p.m.
According to a news release from the sheriff's office, all roads in the county remained open as of 1:30 p.m. but that snow was falling at the rate of an inch or more per hour and winds were expected to increase later in the day.

A travel advisory means that all motorists are encouraged to use caution and reduce speeds on all county roads.

Anywhere from 10 to 12 inches of snow is expected before the storm subsides.

The sheriff's office said that all village town, county and state highways departments are working to keep the roads clear.

An updated road condition is expected to be released later in the day Friday.

" And that has what to do with the storm and poor travel conditions? "

" oops, I have to get back to work now...you see my lame, lame civil workforce, your glorified 'workfare' jobs and your very existence is a sham which will soon run out of steam & money. I cannot wait to welcome you back to the real world. Our children are dumber, our towns, cities, counties & state are well beyond terrible both financially and physically. How much longer do you think it can last? How many more dollar bills can be printed?.OK, back to sleep CNY. Enjoy your long weekend!!!!!!!! "
