UPDATE: Winter storm warning issued for entire county
The National Weather Service has now extended its winter storm warning to all of
Cayuga County and most of upstate New York. It will be in effect from 7 a.m. Friday through midnight.
For the warning area, the NWS said the storm will reach the area between daybreak and 9 a.m. Friday. Snowfall rates during the day will be 1 to 2 inches per hour. This, combined with 15 to 25 mph winds, will create dangerous driving conditions.
