A man who finished an eight-year prison sentence in Cayuga Correctional Facility on Friday for robbery will be transferred to New Jersey, where he is charged with receiving a stolen vehicle, officials said.
Cayuga County District Attorney Jon Budelmann said Derek Friday, 27, agreed in Cayuga County Court Monday to be transferred to Essex County, New Jersey, on a fugitive warrant signed on July 14, 2000.

Friday was sent to the correctional facility in Moravia on Nov. 9, 2001, after he was convicted of robbery in Queens County.
