Chicago, New York City and a couple of other cities and states have developed a system to keep children in school.
Children that are poor or minorities are being paid or rewarded with money for getting better grades, such as A's and B's and C's. The system has kept more children from dropping out. The children study harder and have better comprehension of their studies. They get checks and they get the other half when they graduate with the good grades.
The money doesn't come from the taxpayers, but from donations. Some have said it was bribery, but it has proven to work. If this is what it takes to better educate our children so that they may become teachers, professionals, scientists, doctors, then maybe we should follow suit.
Almost every other month we see articles in the paper about how our education system is going down. Will there be any future leaders to take over our government system? No, not at the rate things are going.
Auburn has become a place where they suspend 4-year-olds or 3-year-olds from pre-school. That's the age that children should still be bonding with their mothers, because they're still toddlers. It is also confusing to children that age, because they don't understand and plus, those that are doing this are not certified teachers with any type of degrees. There are also parents or non-parents who allow the children in their households to be undisciplined at home or outside of the homes.
