SYRACUSE -- Roy Brown's damages trial in the state Court of Claims was adjourned today to allow for some last-minute settlement negotiations.
Both sides -- Brown and the state of New York -- said there has been a new wrinkle in talks over Brown's $5 million claim over wrongful imprisonment. A court of claims judge earlier this fall ruled that Brown is entitled to some amount of damages for the 15 years he served in prison for the murder of a Cayuga County social worker. His conviction was overturned last year after new DNA evidence exonerated him and pointed to another person as the prime suspect.
The damages trial in the court of claims case was to start Monday. Both sides said they will report to the judge at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on the status of settlement talks. If a deal is not reached by then, the trial will proceed at 10 a.m.

Sorry no one is worth that . What did he do before he was in prison? How much did he make a year?
If he want to feel better have a civil suit against the DA and Judge.
As I said NO ONE not even ball players, football players are worth that,
and even Roy Brown is not worth that ... "
