Blue Devils silence Tigers
The Cato-Meridian wrestling team defeated Onondaga, 55-9, in the defending league champ's season opener on Wednesday.
In the 130-pound weight class, freshman Nick Pultz started off strong, winning by pin in 47 seconds for Cato-Meridian, while Ben Brown (145) later pinned his opponent in 53 seconds.
Also leading the Blue Devils were Nick Lalone (160), who won by a 19-4 tech fall, Ethan Holt (171) winning in a 17-2 tech fall and Dominick Giacolone (112), winning by a 25-7 tech fall. Joe Guiffrida (189) had a 13-2 decision victory.
