Cayuga County should barely escape another blast of lake effect snow for parts of the region, the National Weather Service is forecasting.
While lake effect snow advisories or warnings have been issued for neighboring Onondaga and Oswego counties, Cayuga County is clear of any special weather statements as of Thursday afternoon.
The forecast for tonight calls for 1 to 3 inches of snow in the northern end of the county and little or no snow accumulation for the southern half.
Most of the snow that will fall will come down before 2 a.m.
