Feldman bowls in Cheektowaga
Michelle Feldman continues her impressive run in the Women’s Series, which stops at AMF Thruway Lanes in Cheektowaga.
As part of a 16-women field, she’ll bowl 14 games on Thursday. The first seven-game block runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., while the second goes from 5 to 9 p.m. The top 10 players from the first day advance to Friday’s nine-game match play round, which begins at 6 p.m.
Lumb, O’Donnell win doubles
Jeff Lumb rolled a 783, the high series of the day, and teamed up with Diane O’Donnell, who had 547, to win the 600/700 Club blind draw mixed doubles tournament Sunday at Starlite Lanes.
The winning team totaled 1,330 to win $120.
Doug Augustine (679) and Tricia McNabb (646) placed second with 1,325 to take home $90. Dennis O’Donnell (667) and McNabb (646) were third with 1,313 to win $60. Mike Sheehan (694) and Diane O’Donnell (547) came in fourth with 1,241 to take home $50, while Neale Baran (655) and Ann Crowley (578) finished fifth with 1,233 to win $40.
Citizen Masters begin next month
The Citizen Masters tournaments for men and women begin in January. The men’s event has three-game qualifying squads at Falcon Lanes Jan. 2 (9:30 p.m.), as well as Jan. 3 and 4 (11 a.m., 2 p.m.). Entry fee is $35.
The women’s tournament has three-game qualifying squads at Cedar House Lanes at 1 p.m. on Jan. 3 and 4. Entry fee is $35.
Qualifiers for both events (64 men, 32 women) will advance to double-elimination match play beginning Jan. 10.
