The Cayuga County Pet Food Pantry wishes to give its heartfelt thanks to Rita and Joe Sarnicola of the Animal Resource Center for coming to the rescue of the Pet Food Pantry. They heard about our crisis and immediately began to work on a fundraiser to help us re-stock the pantry.
We would like to add that this is not the first time that the Animal Resource Center has helped us with animal issues, when no other animal organization would, and we are grateful for their continued help.
We would also like to thank The Citizen for helping us alert the public about the severe crisis that we were experiencing. Thank you, too, to the reporter who covered the event and put it into the paper the next day.
Lastly, thanks to Leo from Time-Warner Cable for airing the announcement the very next day.
The event, Animals Matter, was held Nov. 15 at the Unitarian Universalist Church and was a great success. Thanks to all those who came to the event and to all the generous merchants and individuals who donated to help make it the success it was. A very special thank you to Poppy's for providing the food, it was delicious.
Now, thanks to all of you, we will be able to have our annual Christmas giveaway on Dec. 16 at noon. We know the need this year will be great. Donations are always welcome at 93 Owasco St., or call us at 253-2878 or 253-3029, any time.
God bless everyone who has helped us over the past years as we go into our 11th year. May we continue to be blessed by the generosity of the public with many more years to come in serving the community. Have a blessed holiday.
