Atlas shows where birds breed in New York

The atlas, eight years in the making, tells a different story for numerous other species, including Henslow’s Sparrows, Red-headed Woodpeckers, Canada Warblers and Rusty Blackbirds. They’re among the 58 species that saw significant declines in the second edition of the New York State Breeding Bird Atlas, expected in bookstores in December.
